Hello dragons!

Let us first welcome you with a mighty ROAR! As is customary for all dragons.

Dragoon offers a variety of cool things for gamers, among them being quick to learn and get playing; and of course the sweet promise of playing as a dragon!

Every round new humans arrive in the form of village and city tiles. Claim them for long term payout or destroy them for instant gold. Cards enhance your powers like Lay Waste (destroy everything you encounter) and Menacing Roar (claim everything around you). Dragon-to-dragon combat, stealing from caves, and the thief’s treasure are all additional ways to get more gold. First dragon to 50+ gold at the end of a round wins!

Because of the various ways to go after the player in the lead, no one is ever truly out of the game until the very end, so no moping around in last place for an hour! This also means hiding in second place and setting yourself up for a big turn can prove quite useful.

And let’s not forget the component quality! Whether you go for the standard or gold editions, the plastic and metal pieces are all solid and made with the utmost care. Both versions come with a cloth map instead of a traditional board with art by Nick Nazzaro that’s almost a shame to cover with the game pieces. We take a lot of pride in the look and feel of our games, especially Dragoon. It was the first game we released, so it holds a special place for us. Breathing new life into it with this latest expansion is an honor and a privilege, and we wouldn’t be here to do it if it weren’t for you.
